UC Employee Tuition Discount Program

Are you a UC employee? The Employee Tuition Discount Pilot Program provides a 33% discount on the cost of UCOE online courses to full and part time UC faculty and staff members, their spouses, domestic partners, and eligible dependent children. Each UCOE course is designed and developed by UC faculty with the goal of providing quality education that the world has come to expect from our University.
Please note that this pilot is a separate program from the current employee-only tuition discount program for staff admitted to the university provided for in Regent’s policy 7502 and the discounts cannot be combined.

Eligibility

You must be a current employee (full time or part time) Dependents must be tax dependent as defined under federal tax law. Course registrant cannot be a current, matriculated UC student. Participation by represented employees will be contingent upon the agreement with their exclusive representative. Please check with your representative to ensure your eligibility prior to beginning the registration process.

Complete this form, then sign, scan and save it.

You will need to provide an Adobe .pdf of your employment verification form, which you can download from the At Your Service website. Simply sign in and select “Employment Verification” under “Income & Taxes.”

Download the employment verification form and save it as a .pdf.

Email both the verification form and the Employee Tuition Discount Form to uconline@ucop.edu.

Submission of completed forms needs to be made 2 business days prior to the stated close of course registration, found on each course’s webpage.

UCOE will verify the employee’s eligibility.Please have documentation ready should UCOE request verification of the dependent’s tax deductible status.

Once verified, UCOE will contact the employee (copy to dependent if applicable) with detailed instructions on how to register and activate the employee discount for the selected course(s).

Employees must register and pay for each course whether for themselves or for their dependents.

Upon completion of registration, the registrant will be notified of their successful registration. And, closer to the beginning of the course, they will be provided information from their instructor with regard to the course and will also be instructed on how to log in to the online learning management system.
